Archaeology & Cultural Heritage Field School

Interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the significance of cultural landscapes in contemporary society? Don’t miss out on the opportunity to join ECDI researcher Dr Ben Shaw and conduct archaeological research and excavation on the stunning Mornington Peninsula in Victoria!

This program will allow you to be part of a series of engaging fire-side lectures, practical demonstrations, and visits to museums and regionally significant cultural heritage sites. The field school will run from 3- 19 September starting off with a one day preparatory workshop at ANU before heading off to the Mornington Peninsula! Perfect for the budding archaeologist!

This opportunity is open to all undergraduate and graduate ANU students who have completed 24 units of study at the time of departure. As part of your application, you will need to tell us how this experience will benefit you personally and how it will contribute towards your career aspirations. There are 15 places for this field school.

Students will be selected based on their written response to the selection criteria. Academic performance (GPA) may also be taken into consideration
